In addition, the
Groundman will also be undertaking
a survey of the churchyard
to allow the PCC to obtain
a Faculty (church planning
permission) to remove gravestones
and kerbs which are broken
or in a dangerous condition.
Graves to be included in the
Faculty will be photographed
and any inscription recorded.
At the end of
this process all the graves
covered by the Faculty will
also be listed in the Parish
Magazine and local press before
the final approval, so that
relatives can have the chance
to have the grave removed from
the Faculty - you can get in
touch with the Parish Office
if you wish to make the stone
safe at your own expense.
