HAVE YOU LOST A JACKET?
One man was so warmed by his 'Big Breakfast' that he left behind his jacket, which had a key in one of the pockets.
If you think that it may be yours, then please telephone the Parish Office to reclaim it.

BIGGEST BREAKFAST EVER!
The ninth Big Breakfast to be held in the Assembly Rooms catered for more people than ever, over 170, and also raised nearly £1,000 net of expenses.
The team of voluntary helpers (who, incidentally, also pay for their own breakfast), worked tirelessly to make this special community event such a success.
Thank you to them all!

WILLKOMMEN ZU DEDHAM
We are indebted to Rudi Drost, a visitor from Brightlingsea, who came to Dedham recently and saw that there was no German translation of the brief guide to the church, and then made a Kurze Anleitung for us.
It joins the Italian, Spanish and French brief guides that have been translated by friends of Colin West, who is the chief Tours guide.
Do you know anyone who could translate one into Chinese?

MISSION BAKEHOUSE
We will be starting the cake and produce stall again on Saturday 28 May from 10-12 noon. Last year we did really well raising £503. Thank you to all those who supported us.
As well as requests for cake bakers the Mission team would be grateful for help with manning the stall.
The dates for the rest of the summer will be: 25 June, 30 July, 24 September, 29 October.
We will not be having a stall in August because the church team already have one at the Bank Holiday Fete.
If you can help in any way please contact Ruth Higginson on 322 598.

FLAGMASTER'S FLOURISH
Michael Gotelee, quietly and efficiently ensures that the correct flags are hoist on top of our church tower each month. In April he will have to ascend the tower for a record-breaking twelve times in a month, to hoist and lower the flags.
Vexillologists among you (i.e. those who study flags) may be interested to know the reason is partly that Easter is only one day short of being as late as it is possible for that festival to occur. This means that, in addition to the three occasions the English flag is hoist to mark Holy Week and Easter; Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Day, occurring in April, there is also St. George's Day itself.
Then, to mark the actual birthday of H.M. The Queen, the Union Flag will be hoist on Thursday 21 April. Finally, there will be the additional special celebration on Friday 29 April, for the Royal Wedding. All in all, that will be some 1,584 steps up and down! Happily, Michael will get a rest from his duties in May, as there are no 'flag days' scheduled for next month!
